One of the most frequent questions I get is, “How high should I hang my art?” My go-to advice: picture yourself standing in front of the piece, gazing at it. What height feels natural to you? Generally, the sweet spot is at eye level.
Now, here’s the catch—we’re all different heights, which means eye level varies. That’s where standard guidelines come to the rescue. A good rule of thumb is to hang your art so that the center is about 60 inches from the floor. This works beautifully for rooms with average ceiling heights, typically around 9 to 10 feet. Of course, there are always exceptions!
